6 Days Umbwe Route Kilimanjaro Trekking

Tour Overview

The 6 Days 5 nights Umbwe Route is one of the most challenging and direct routes up Mount Kilimanjaro. Known for its steep and short ascent, the route is best suited for experienced trekkers who are in good physical condition and accustomed to higher altitudes.

The route begins at the Umbwe Gate and ascends rapidly, making it more difficult for acclimatization, but rewards hikers with stunning views and a sense of accomplishment. After reaching Barranco Camp, the trek joins the Machame Route, where hikers continue toward the summit. The descent is made via the Mweka Route.

This 6 day option is ideal for those looking for a fast-paced trek and a more rugged experience on the mountain.
