The hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti is one of the most extraordinary wildlife experiences in the world. Drift silently over the endless plains at dawn as the Serengeti wakes below you — lion prides returning from the night hunt, elephant families moving through the acacia woodland, the golden light of an African sunrise painting everything warm.
The balloon launches in the dark before dawn and rises as the sun breaks over the horizon. For approximately one hour you float in silence over landscapes covering dozens of square kilometres — your guide pointing out wildlife that even safari vehicles rarely access.

The Flight: Approximately 60 minutes at altitudes from treetop level to 1,000m. The pilot adjusts altitude to follow wildlife action below.
Champagne Breakfast: After landing (wherever the wind takes you) a full bush breakfast with champagne is served in the wild. Linen tablecloths, silver cutlery — extraordinary in the middle of the Serengeti.
Certificate: Every guest receives a certificate of completion signed by the pilot.
Wildlife Views: From the air you see the true scale of the wildebeest herds, the river systems, the kopjes, and wildlife that vehicles simply can't reach.
Photography: The elevated, slow-moving platform is exceptional for wide-angle landscape photography and shooting down on herds.

Balloons launch before dawn — typically 5:30–6:00am — to be airborne at sunrise. The experience lasts about 3 hours including transfers, flight, and breakfast.
Balloon safaris are approximately USD $500–$600 per person and are not included in standard safari prices. It is an optional add-on we highly recommend.
Balloon safaris in the Serengeti operate under strict safety protocols. Pilots are highly experienced and weather conditions are carefully monitored.
