This is a fascinating adventure through some of the most emblematic parks in northern Tanzania, like Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro, but also includes a day at the bizarre Lake Natron.
Day 1: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
We’ll pick you up at 8am and transport you to Tarangire, renowned for its diverse landscape and abundant wildlife. The park is famous for its ancient Baobab trees, which dominate the scenery, alongside a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, and zebras. With the largest concentration of elephants in the country, Tarangire offers unique opportunities to observe these magnificent creatures and their family dynamics. Enjoy lunch with scenic views at the riverside observatory before an afternoon game drive. Tarangire provides unparalleled chances to witness the interaction between elephant families.
Day 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, journey towards the renowned Serengeti National Park, known for its vast plains and incredible wildlife. En route, marvel at the breathtaking view of Ngorongoro Crater from the crater highlands. As you delve deeper into the Serengeti, you’ll understand why its name translates to “endless plains” in the local language. Spanning 6,900 square miles, the park is home to the iconic Great Migration, with millions of wildebeests, zebras, and various antelope species. Look out for a variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Serengeti also hosts a diverse range of smaller animals and over 500 bird species.
Full day in the Serengeti National Park. We are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be organized according to your wishes. On every day of the safari, your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake up time. For example, on this day, you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full day game drive with picnic lunch.
We will start the day very early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After the game drive, transfer to singular Lake Natron (4h) with picnic lunch. Visit to lake and surroundings.
Day 6: LAKE NATRON
After a refreshing morning with coffee and cookies, embark on early walks to the lake flats to observe flamingos. Lake Natron, nestled between Ngorongoro Highlands and Serengeti plains at the base of Africa’s only active volcano, Oldonyo Lengai, offers a unique habitat for millions of crustaceans and thousands of Lesser flamingos. After breakfast, explore local waterfalls surrounded by lush vegetation before transferring to Arusha.
