When you book a safari with us, you are not simply purchasing a travel experience. You are employing Tanzanian families, contributing to anti-poaching operations in the parks you visit, and supporting community development in the villages that share a border with those parks. Here is a transparent account of how that works.
Born & Bred Tanzanian
Every guide, driver, camp manager, cook, spotter, and porter we employ is Tanzanian — from Arusha, from villages adjacent to the parks, from families who have lived alongside this wildlife for generations. This is not a marketing line. It means every dollar spent on a day-rate, every tip left for your guide, every salary we pay stays in Tanzania and supports Tanzanian families. Our senior guide grew up on the Serengeti boundary and has been guiding for 18 years. When he points out a leopard sleeping in a fig tree from 400 metres away, it is because he has been watching that individual leopard for years.
Conservation
A fixed percentage of every safari booking we complete is contributed to anti-poaching patrol funding in the northern circuit parks. We work with the Serengeti Cheetah Project on long-term population monitoring, and support active snare removal operations in the western Serengeti corridor — where wire snares remain the greatest ongoing threat to wildlife. We never take vehicles off designated roads, never crowd animals, and never approach in a way that alters their natural behaviour.
Community Development
Our cultural village visits are not staged performances. They are operated and owned directly by the communities themselves — Maasai bomas, Iraqw farming communities, Hadzabe bushmen groups — who receive the full visit fee. We support a primary school construction project in Karatu and contribute to a healthcare bursary for children in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where communities live alongside the wildlife that draws visitors from around the world.
Responsible Practices
Reusable water bottles and camp refill stations on all safaris — no single-use plastic. We operate low-emission vehicles and maintain them rigorously. We partner only with lodges that share our environmental values: solar power, grey-water recycling, responsible waste management, and no wildlife harassment policies. Our carbon offset programme allows guests who wish to offset their international flights to do so through verified Tanzanian reforestation projects.
Nothing about our approach reduces the quality of your safari. Our vehicles are among the best on the northern circuit. Our guides are some of the most experienced in Tanzania. Our camps are carefully selected for location, comfort and alignment with our values. You simply travel with the knowledge that your presence here helps rather than harms — that the extraordinary wildlife you came to see is a little more protected because you came.
